I'm looking to put schaffers in my tranny, but my mechanic said that i'd need to flush the trany first. Is this the real deal or can it be poured in with the regular?

Re: Synthetic ATF (RUSS105)
:iagree: with your mechanic! Flush it all! There are numerous posts in the archives on this subject, try the SEARCH function. Will take around 13 quarts to flush and fill
If you can not mix synthetic with non-synthetic why do all the oil companies make a blend which is part synthetic and part non? Call 1-800-ASK-MOBIL and they will tell you you can mix them.
BTW, synthetic fluids can be mixed with non-synthetic products, mixing them just reduces the effectiveness of the synthetic. As skeet said, most petroleum companies produce a synthetic/non-synthetic blend.
