Fans Again!
Ok, I messed with my fans last night (90, 6spd, vert) and found they both come on when you start the air conditioning (as soon as you push the button), but neither will come on otherwise. The car sat and idled untill the temp was pushing 260 (by the gage), but neither fan started. How should I go about trouble shooting this? Thanks in advance.

You have a 1990 correct?
Have you checked the fan relay?,,, you can check the power at the relay to see if the relay is getting a signal.

I'd start with the temp sending unit on the block. Your fans are working, but the sensor may not be. I don't have access to a manual, but I think the sensor is between #1 and #3 (on my 91). Others will chime in if I'm in error.

Not yet, I assumed that if the airconditioner can kick them on, the relay's work. I guess the question would be is what signals the fans to kick on. The temp gage works, so I assume the temp sensor is working. I'm not sure what to check?
