I have problems with my throttle position sensor. I adjust it to 0,52v and then I go for a drive and then maybe after 1 hour of driving i get service engine soon. I check it and it is TPS to low and sometimes it is TPS too high. I adjust it again to 0,52v and the after 1 hour or next day it is the same problem again. And I know it is not the TPS that is moving from position.
What can be wrong, im getting crazy with this poopie
You say that you adjust it and after driving it you adjust it again is it changing while you drive if so maybe it is slipping if it is holding then replace it
I'm on my third oil temp sensor in just a few months all were GM but they where bad new. They say made in Mexico :mad
I had the same problem and it turnd out it was slipping no matter how tight. Take ta piece of fine grit paper (I used 1500) and cut you two pieces and place them back to back between the TPS and the intake so one rough side is against the TPS and one against the intake. Run your bolt through and snug them down. Fixed my problem now for over a year.

I am having the same problem and before my 383 i never had this problem but after putting the TB on my 383 it is giving codes for TPS. So i set mine to .50 and seems to fun fine but still i get the error code after reseting the computer? but what should the Volts be when the TPS is wide open???? need help thanks!
On krivera's car the max voltage is still less than 1 volt. Isn't it supposed to be like 4 or 5 volts at WOT?
Yea....it is supposed to be above 4 or so....
Try testing for voltage at wot at the tps itself-if OK there but not ecm look for a short/open.
Other problem I've seen once-the "reference" (supply) voltage wire was only one volt due to that wire getting pinched before the tps.....

Timmy and Drive it...that is a good point about the wire being pinched or open or a short...i know when i got my new motor they did all new conections so i am wondring if i am losing some voltage when they connected the new wiring harness or something? I didnt have a problem before but with the new connection i am getting no love with the Volts...?
