Where do you guys go for your insurance? It kills me to spend all this money on insurance when the car spends most of the time in the garage. I live in NJ and it is absolute rape that they charge what they do!! Thanks

Re: Insurance!! (96 CE LT-4)
The best your going to fine for full coverage/full use insurance in NJ , if your over 25 withe a good record is about $1000. per year.
I've got NJ. Manufactures.
I live in Nebraska. Grundy insured my 64 coupe and 87 roadster for $515 per year, including $500,000 liability. Definately has to be used for hobby driving, no daily drivers.
I live in Fl and have full coverage on my 86 with progressive for 3400 a year. it was the only company that I could fine that would offer full coverage on my car. then again I'm just turning 21 and had a claim over 3 years ago
It stinks!! You would think they would have some kind of limited use insurance. i can only drive one car at a time. Glock, you and me have the same cars, i also have a 93 s-10 and a LT-4! Strange
State Farm $166 a month. I am 23 and live NW of detroit. When I was in Grand Rapids it was only $100 a month. I don't think they know of my ticket, because I asked when I moved why it was so much and they said it was because of where I live.
I could post my insurance, but its not really worth it. A big difference in insurance rates is where you live and your driving record. My insurance changed $300/year from moving to a different town. If I moved to a major city my insurance would double.

:iagree: It is unfortunate that the rates are so high, but then again, insurance is a BUSINESS that must turn a profit to remain in business to provide insurance. What we don't see is the payouts for totalled vehicles every single day. I don't like my premiums here in SoCal either but I have come to just live with it. My '93 is paid for, but I won't drop the collision portion because I don't have 10K laying around to replace it should there be an accident. I could just drive without insurance and then suffer the consequences should I ever be involved in an accident and have to face $$$K bills for property and medical bills. I'd rather not do the latter. I have a family and house to protect.
For my CE Vert and 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP my wife and I pay a little over $2,000 for full coverage. $1,000 deductible. The company is USAA. If you have been in the Airforce it is a great deal. Homeowners insurance through them too.
yeah, USAA is the best for military people that I know of. I'm 22, with the '94 Vette and a Honda and I pay $130/mo for full coverage at Moody AFB, GA.
