Fuel Line Questions
What is this thing in the return line and can I remove it when I use Stainless Steel braded line?

I'm betting that it is a pressure relief valve.

Vibration/pulsation damper is correct. This was removed in the '93 and up models (maybe starting in '94).

Re: Fuel Line Questions (joalyons)
Its called an accumulator. It acts to dampen fuel line vibrations. If you don't install it, and get unusual noise vibrations (rattling) from the right side, you will know why.

Was there a second one? According to my service manual ('94), the part you plug the fuel pump into is the Fuel Pulse Dampener?

Yep. I guess there were problems. Also, the dampener in the fuel pump (if i'm not mistaken) also acts like a check valve to prevent back flow of fuel through the feed line. There IS a check valve at the pump and I thought it was at the fuel pulse dampener.

Don't want to burst your bubble...but the 92 Helms manual still calls it an
"accumulator". :p:

Re: Fuel Line Questions (joalyons)
Everyone wins the prize for the help. I think I will be ok without it since the Stainless lines should absorbe the vibrations.
Thanks
