Help! Tranny slips!
Just put new brakes on the car and took it out to try them out. I stepped the gas to the floor from a rolling 40 mph and suddenly the tranny slipped and it revved to over 6 grand. It was kind of jerky for awhile. Turned around and went home and it was slipping every once in awhile just driving at 30mph down city streets. Anybody got any ideas? DRM just put in a 2800 stall converter 1800 miles ago. Could that have any thing to do with it? Please help! Thanks :mad PS. It is an automatic and yes I checked the fluid. Everything okay there. I checked the temp as I was slipping my way home and it was 228.

Just took the car out for a short drive. If I manually shift if from 1-2 no problem. It runs fine in 2nd gear. If I shift to D or OD then it starts to slip in 2nd and will not shift out of it. Please help.
