i live in n.j. and i was told i need a permit to carry nitrous in my car or get it filled and to run it at the track is this true if so where do i get the forms?

I have heard about some states having laws that you could only have so much in the car at one time without a hazmat permit. Like you could only have a 10 lb bottle and not a 15 or 20 lb. Not sure on that just something I heard once.
yep jersey has that law.i had to get one when i first started running nos in my mustang back in 88,i got stopped on my way home from work and the officer asked for my permit,didnt have it but had to go get one.
yep i was at the track on wensday night and i asked going to tech the guy gave me the info to call so i did on thursday it was the n.j. deptment of enviormental control well they said the papers where on the way.i guess some sort of application but thanx for all the help
Yes, its true in nj we need a permit all you have to do here is request it from the department of health and fill out questionaire,they send permit witch you have to renew,and keep your permit on file where you fill your bottle,and bring permit with you to track also. :yesnod: see you at the track, jersey.
