MAF and influence on the idle.
I got a recommendation that an idle where it is high for too many seconds when stoppingfrom highway speeds could be a faulty MAF even though that the MAF do not throw codes. It could also occur when making a gearshift from a lower gear to a higher that the rpms did not return to low rpms or idle even though the throttle pedal was in "zero" position
Has anybody any experience or knowledge about that??
I have some tendencies myself.

You should clean it, check the TPS voltage, and see what happens.
Thanks for the answers.
I have done a lot of investigations and the following things is done:
I have changed to large tube runners from TPIS and long tube headers.
The IAC and EGR valve are both ok and the throttlebody overhauled.
I borrowed a stetoscope and listened to all over the manifold.
I found false air at the back runners at the manifol on the passenger side and at the runners at the manifold on the drivers side in addition to a major leak at the hose from the manifold to the tube to the PCV valve. The mechanic that did the installation has said that he will ensure that there is no more leakage for free (of course). Think that will heal the sympoms quite well..
The thing is that to find false air one has to have tools capable to detect it and that common people do not have normally
