88 Cold Start injector question>>

The cold start coolant sensor on the front of the manifold checks the coolant temp. If it is less than 100* (F) when the starter relay goes active it sprays a 7 second mist of fuel into the intake manifold.

That's the deal.
And control is completely independent of the ECM; timing is done by an independent relay and timer.

Yeah you can run a later Prom for that afaik.I even tried this with an 89 prom on my 86 and the car ran fine.Dont really need that CS injector anyways.IF anything,it may take a little longer or two tries of start up and it will run fine on cold days.
