I love my days off ... everyday I'm off the vette gets better! :D
Spent a few hours this afternoon taking off my J55 calipers and rotors. Getting ready to put the GS calipers and my drilled cadmium rotors on tomorrow (or tonight if I can get someone to help me since I don't have speed bleeders).
So, my suspension look a little cleaner now? :chevy
Oh yeah... my list is a mile long. I'm just getting started :D . Half of the things I want to do to it are cleaning - which only costs paper towels, rags, and cleaner. The other half I don't have $ for, lol. So i think the vette is just going to keep getting cleaner for a little bit.
 I did the same to mine over the weekend too. I also masked off and painted the tops of the grease fittings with glossy black and then polished the A-arms. It really jumps out now!!!
 I just finished front bearings, cleaned and painted. I'm on the back now...bearings, u-joints, and drive shaft. So I know how much work you've put into it. Looks good! (mine does too).
I did the exact same thing last week when I attempted to swap new rotors, knuckle/hub and calipers on my '85 just to find out they wont' fit due to the lower A-Arm being too short.. :mad Oh well. I cleaned and slightly polished by suspension pieces, and am back to stock...
How come we don't get before and after of the same side???? :jester
Haha.. someone noticed :) - I took the pictures after i finished the drivers side ... the first pic is from the passenger side which i hadn't started yet. It looks the same now. I'm going to post some pictures of the brakes in a little bit - gotta go snap a few pictures.

Doh, that sucks. What kind did you try to put on there?
I got the whole front brake setup from a '94 vette. Not the J55, but the stock 12" JL9 or whatever setup. Heck, anything would be a step up form the tiny single piston 84-87 brakes...(I know they break great, but comparing the two rotors and brake pad areas I was like WHOA)
Wow, i just tried some of my Mother's Aluminum wheel polish that i used on the wheels .. HOLY CRAP are the upper controler arms shiney now!  Looks like a freakin' mirror (made in a cast though :/)
