Scanners/dianostic software, burnning chips??
I know this topic has been covered, but I can't seam to find anything in search.
I’m looking at scanners/diagnostic software. From what I have read in this section by the time you spend the $ on scanner/software, then read the parameter’s, send that to a chip burner you could have set yourself up to burn chips for the same or just little more $.
Have I missed some thing? If you are burning chips what did it cost to get set up?
I am not computer savvy, I only understand about half the stuff in this section, but I want to learn it. I think the best way to learn is to jump in with both feet.
Right now I have a lope in the idle in gear after the installation of 1.6 GM RR’s and LT4 springs. I can live with that for now, but this winter I will install the Hot Cam and will need a new chip for sure. Ed Wright wants 350$ for a custom chip, that $ will go a long way in setting me up for burning chips and be able to go back and make future mods.
