Default Need help here!

I need the correct part number for the ac condenser on a 1985 C4. Please don't tell me it is ac delco part # 15-6543 - it does not fit - I have called ac delco , Gm and dealers all their listings are for 1984 thru 1987 the reason it does not fit is because its smaller in size and will not stay in place with the original rubber mounts...thanks...Jim

How doesn't it fit? I found different #'s for '88 and '90 - '93, only. Of course that doesn't help you. Check with the guys at http://www.ackits.com and see if they list anything different for an '85. I tried NAPA, they don't offer a condensor for an L98 on their website. You might also want to check Autozone, http://www.autozone.com - I vaguely remember a subtle difference with the hoses, but don't recall any differences with the physical size of the condensor. If it's with the hoses, you may have to switch them out, fabricate adaptors or have them custom made by an a/c shop (which shouldn't cost a bundle if it's only the fittings.
