converting to 92Fbody 730 ECM MAP system. Q about VSS
ok, i'm wring an adapter up so i don't mess with my Factory harness on the 89 L98 Vette. Q- is, there's a few diffferent ways to wire the VSS.
A- wire up 1 wire (buffered VSS)
B- wire up like 4 different "LOW", HIGH, etc....
the 92 camaro did'nt have a digital dash like us right?? so ...what do i do?
Any idea? we have a 165 ECM just like the camaro's and i'm going over to the 730 ECM using a stock 92 Z28 Auto EPROM. (which will later get custom burned.) So what do i do?? I know on the PIN out it says that if you use the 1 wire hook up...ie buffered it requires a PROM change. (maybe that's for us Vette folks). please help here guys..... :sad:

ok, did some research.... the 87-89 TPI (MAF) use 2000 pulses.
the Speed density use 4000 pulses. ok, i have like 6 wires for the VSS on my 7730 ECM to 165 ECM pin out. i got it all done except the VSS.
we have....
1- VSS Low
2- VSS Hi
3- VSS output 4000ppm
4- VSS output 2000ppm
5- Buffered VSS used "ALONE"
Any freakin idea????????????????? oh, the Buffered says... requires PROM change, Mag. VSS at 0x18 b6 for $8D Proms.
Any idea?????
