I fabricated a piece that allows you to connect your garden hose to the hole where the knock sensor comes out. I bought a brass fitting that fits inside the hole and attaches to a hose. I also bought a fitting that connects the hose to a garden hose. A while ago, I bought a Prestone flush kit that had a yellow plastic drain adapter that fits into the hole where you remove the radiator cap. I attached a washing machine drain hose to it so coolant wouldn't get on the Vette. When you turn on the garden hose, the water flows into the block and through the system and out the drain adapter. When the water became clear I opened the petcock on the radiator and ran it until it became clear. I also, had the heater on so the core would get flushed, too. This beats the GM way of flushing. Oh, I forgot, I did it to both Knock sensor holes.
Just thought you guys might like this idea.
Does it do a complete flush with the thermostat still installed? Thanks. Sid.
Absolutely  Oh, I forgot, I ran the engine while the water was running and my heater was on. I was doing a TB bypass and just put a garden hose to the heater core intake hose, but the water came out clear. The whole idea was the connection at the knock sensors.
