Default LT4 knock sensor/module in LT1 w/ RR

I have LT4 RR and shorty hedders on my '94 LT1, and had read in a post on a different forum that you should replace the knock sensor with an LT4 one. Do you need to replace the knock sensor or the module for it, or both ? And also, is this something that I should be concerned with, in other words will it actually make a difference ? Thanks in advance.

You only need to replace the module in the bottom of the computer. The only way it will help if the car is picking up noise from the rockers and headers causing false knock. The LT4 module is less sensitive to the noise from them. For the $30 I put one in my 95.

Thanks, I think I am going to put one in just to have one less thing to worry about.
