Default Thermostat

I recently replaced my stock thermostat with a 160. Is there anything else I need to do along with it? I won't have any problem with this will I?

You dont really need to do anything. If you can change edit your computer to turn fans on earlier, that also helps too. You should be ok.

You will need to reprogram your computer to take full advantage of the thermostat change, or you can add a manual fan switch. Otherwise it will still run at higher temps because the fans are still set to come on at 190 and 205 degrees (or something like that).

You should see lower temps while on the highway but in town temps will go up since the fan still comes on at stock temps.

You can add a performance chip for big $$ or install an aux fan switch (if you don't already have an aux fan in front of the radiator) into the block below #1 & #3 plugs. Then splice the wire from the aux fan sw into the Grn/Yel wire near the main fan relay on the rear of the left inner wheel well.

Or you can install a dash-mounted switch to manually turn on the main fan. Again just splice a wire from the switch into the Grn/Yel wire at the fan relay and run another wire from the other switch terminal to a ground.
