Service Engine light (checked the code for TPS) and need help

Service Engine light (checked the code for TPS) and need help
OK, so last night me and Timmy worked on my new 383 in my car and the check engine light would come on and off?
So we checked the code and it is the TPS sensor? So we tried to adjust it but we got it to .5v and that is the idle i guess but when it was at full throttle it would only go to 2.5v or so? on his service manaul for a 1995 vette it says it should be 5v at open throttle position and since i have a 1991 vette i was wondering if it is different or are we doing something wrong? i looked at this link https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=55&TopicID=2 but it didnt help me much? thanks Kevin

OK...after working on my vette and trying different things i broke down and bought a new TPS sensor and it works fine...i should of replaced the new TPS first but i am broke so i tried everything else before breaking down and getting a new one:D
