I've received a new antenna ( the whole stuff) for my 92 and I'd like to know if it's easy to replace by myself and if so, how to do it?
Thanks for your help....
It's so easy, you don't even need a shop manual. Which you should get, IMO. Take the old one out. (The connector is inside the back of the car) AND remember what you did. Put the new one in reverse of what you took out. If you don't want to buy a shop manual, then do a search here and see if there is more information.
Thks for your reply Skipping Stone, but the problem I've got is that the old one is already out, I've had it out by a mechanics... And as I'd like to put the new one by myself I need some assistance !
First of all is it mandatory to take the rear bumper off to have access to the place of the antenna?
Thanks
Greg
Pop the wheel off
remove inner wheel well
Now you can see where to mount bracket. You will have to stick you arm up between all the crap to get to the underside of the rear deck.Spin the big plastic nut onto the threaded bezel. The connections are under the trim in the middle of the cargo area.

Re: Antenna (Dudule)
If it is GM then you will have no problems. If not GM then you may not match up regarding antenna cable ends and power wire colors.
I believe there is a tech tip on this project. I did mine with an aftermarket unit last year. About a 2-3 hour job, but I work real slow and take lots of breaks. On my 91 I had to remove the license plate to remove the two taillight assemblies to get to the antenna wiring. I think I followed a tech tip here on the forum.
If you have long skinny arms you can reach the bezel from underneath the rear of the car. If your arms are shorter like mine you'll have to remove the rear wheel and fender well. Either way its pretty simple.
