Check the obvious stuff out first, make sure you don't have a fuse out or a loose connection on the window switch. Otherwise you could take the outer door panel off, and push the window up enough where you could grab it from the top and pull it the rest of the way up.
The PW motor gets crust in it over the years. You can take it apart and clean it really well and put it back together and it should work fine. Mine did.
With the door panel off, have someone work the switch while you push up on the bottom of the window. That should get the window up anyway. If that doesn't work, things are really locked up and you'll have to take the regulator out anyway and clean everything.
If you're not mechanically inclined, put some plastic over the window and take it to a shop. If you want to put a new motor in yourself, there's a guy on Ebay who sells new motors cheap. Or go on-line to Brasington GM (www.gmotors.com). They sell GM parts 15% over their cost which amounts to about a 40% savings over retail Chevy.
Thanks Big Jim. I have the door panel off. And I can hear a faint sound of the motor turning. I beleive I will need a new motor. You wouldn't happen to know how to go about removing I dont want to jack anything up. I had all the bolts out but could not get the regulator and window to budge. I also had the 2 bolts in the botom of the door out. Do you know where I could find deatiled instructions. Once again thanks
