Default headers **hot**

i just finished my 94 10lb paxton 406 vette project. i am using the crane 6tr ignition. i have lt4 heads and crane rr's so i am assuming the adjustment of the valves are correct as there seems to be no adjustment. after a short while my tpis headers are glowing redish orange. i replaced the opti at the time of rebuild. i keep my boost retard at about 3 deg. per pound of boost. i have checked most of the normal items. is there any common problems that would cause this. i dont have any cats just headers to borla exh. the car runs very strong. i have a 300 wet system installed but am waiting for break in before trying out. wanting to get all the bugs out first. and replacing plug wires is getting old. even when routed away from the headers the boots become crispy. any help would be appreciated.

Might want to check out your A/F ratio on a chassis dyno with a wideband.
