Wacky Heater Control Panel '89
My heater control panel on my '89 auto coupe occassionally flashes and even goes out...if I tap it, most times it comes back. Lately I have been blowing the 10 amp "Gauges" fuse, when I hit a bump. Nobody can seem to trace the short! Has anybody had trouble with this panel or blown the gauges fuse, or ANY ADVICE THAT MIGHT HELP???I don't have a wiring diagram for that fuse and don't know where to get one...HELP!!!

One of your ACC hot wires is off and dancing under your hood.. If you mostly see this in you heater control and not in you dash or stereo lights then I would pull the heater controls and fix this before you have a fire..And a vette with a fire is a 350 with a ram connected to a leftover melted fried dream car..

Pull the heater panel and uninstall the heater controls and look for any melted wires or a burnt smell.. Look at your heatercontrol haness and use a 12volt check light to check for ignition switch and constant power. Follow the two wires and you should find a problem.. If not I think GM has a computer system they hook up to your car to find the short also..
