Well I was looking for a noise which sounded like my tranny going out. After running Pocono today it got louder when I pulled in the driveway. So I put it on the lift and started to listen again to find it. The rattle was coming from the pass cat (Random Tech Bullet 3"). I pulled the exhaust and found the honeycomb shifted back about 2" inside the case and was falling apart and rattling. So my point is does anyone make a high flow Bullet 3" cat the same dimentions or smaller than the RT ones? This may be why my times sucked at E-Town the first race.
I was looking at the new Random metalic ones instead of the ceramic ones. They are a bit smaller than the ceramic ones I have now. What is the size of the car sound ones?

Here is a pic of the Random Tech metal matrix cats I put in mine...do they look smaller than the ones you have?
I saw that pick and yes they look a bit smaller. The Ceramic ones have a shield weled on loosing about 1/2". How much did you get them for? I found $221.75ea so far on line.

If I remember right I paid about 250$ each for them (that was a little over a year ago)...not cheap by any means. Call Random Tech and ask for some of their distributers...they'll probably tell you whereyou can find the best price, they did for me when I bought them. Good Luck! If you decide to go with another brand keep us informed, it'd be hard for me to shell out another $500+ for a set of cats!
