Floating valves
Stock 85 engine...supercharged 8lbs of boost.......fire burnout in 1st gear didn't look at the tach..........BOOM.....soundedlike it was in the engine , maybe the header close to the engine, but I'm thinking it was in the pleum......engine runs fine now, no blowby, so its not a holed piston. anybody experiance this before? :crazy:

It might have been a back fire.
I got valve float once and she just went limp; from a strong WOT pull in 1st to a brief instant of no power, till after I let off and the tack came back down a little. But there was no sound, only the engine going suddenly flat.
