Additive when installing new differential gears?
Just installed rear differential assembly, need to know amount of lubricant, type required (80/90wt, type G, or should it be G+?). Corvette Shop manual is generic in "0" section, even talking about transaxles, says to look in owners manual, which I don't have.
Says nothing about limited slip additive, but it seems I always use to put some in to keep clutches from chattering. Any GM part numbers and amount?

well when I installed my diff. about 2 years ago, Zip suggested the factory oil and a bottle of additive, or use the redline with the additive already in it. Actually I have done both. Started with the factory fill and latter changed it to the redline fluid.

I just swapped a Dana 44 into my car and I used the Redline 75w-90w, It has the additive in it all ready. Works good, Two weeks and running.
