i've been trying to get a 3" pipe or equivilant in flow across the top of the radiator b/c i went SD.. so no MAF. Our stock Air boxes flow about 580CFM .... not to good. but the problem is i can't get a intake across that shroud... i even bought a stock C5 bridge.... close....but still no cigar. Now i'm onto some i guess more deeper measure... I'm wondering how hard it would be to angle the radiator like the later 90+ do. I need a new radiator and A/C condensor anyway.... so if it's just some brackets or rigging... i migth do that... and that might give me some more FREAKIN ROOM!!!!!!!

Anyone ever fab a intake on the early C4?? i have the front licesnse plate cut out, i want a KN actually housed in the nose....but getting pipe over the rad is the ONLY problem!!! and a big one!!
actually ( if im not mistaken) a 4" pipe flattened out is the same size as the throttle body.. if it were me, i believe id use an oval 4 inch pipe. you can buy it at places like burns stainless i believe. id use aluminum pipe. if you can find a place locally to bend it, great. if not , cut and weld it to curve over the front of the radiator.
I did the math. to get 750 CFM i'd need ike a 5" pipe flatened. or something like that. I know 4" was to small.
Area of a Oval=pie*a*b a=half the height b=half the width
Area of a circle=pie*R^2
a 3" pipe gives you about 7.06in^2 that's the goal. I think that a 5 or 6" pipe smashed down "might" work..and i'll weld on some 3" adapters on either end.... but i doubt it..
