Starting Problems
My 85 vette (automatic) has been giving me a little problem. Not every time, but some times, when I go to start it nothing happens. I try it 2-3 times and then it will start. The dash cluster gauges do not lose their settings (mileage, etc) when this happens so it appears that there's still power to the dash. But the radio does go back to it's default settings on the channels and clock. Thinking starter, alternator, battery, ?????

The radio going to default station settings is a dead giveaway that you have a poor cable connection to your battery. Remove your battery cables (neg first), clean the cable lugs and battery posts and replace the cables (neg last). You want your cable connections to be just like your lover, bright and tight. :D
