Default Ed Wright reprogramming and Hypertech

I'm not getting anywhere with the "Scan & Tune" boys on this, so I'll post it here and see if I can get some decent input.

I am having my '96 modded by a pro-shop and the ECU reprogrammed (probably) by Ed Wright afterwards.

My question is, will I still be able to use my Hypertech Controller to make minor changes in the programming (such as for wheel/tire changes, different gears, fan speed settings, etc) after the ECU is reprogrammed for the performance modifications?

I need to know by tomorrow so I can put the computer back to factory settings, before taking the vette to the shop. Haven't received any replies from Ed Wright on this matter.

HELP! (please)

No, at least not to my knowledge. Once you have a real custom program the hypertech becomes useless.

You can have the custom program take care of fan settings, gear ratios, tire sizes, etc. If youre putting them on now or very soon.

No. You'll have to send your PCM back to Ed (along with more $$). I believe he used to allow a few freebe changes within the first 6 months or so but I'm not sure of specifics.

Ahhh, for what it's worth, I finally got a response from Mr Wright. Paraphrased, he says that the Hypertech Controller can still be used to make non-engine changes, (for speedometer settings, fan temp settings, etc).

Anything directly related to performance options (such as timing, A/F mixture, etc), would most likely damage the ECU.

I appreciate the responses, but that's is directly from Ed Wright. Still, just in case, I am headed out to the garage to put it back to its original settings, before taking it to the shop.
