Your right...Chris made a mistake...thats not the problem.

What is the problem is the response
NO, the problem is that, that other guy Chris made a mistake that he didnt have to deal with. That was an attitude of "the hell with him" the fact was that he lead to error and that is his fault, yes he's human but when humans make errors that affect other humans they have to stand behind those errors!

TPIS UPDATE:

I received my fittings from TPIS, but I had some more problems ...

They sent 1 fitting that was the wrong one! ... so I called them back and Jim said 88 Vettes can come with either size return line, he said he would ship me the correct one out the next day for free and cover the shipping.

Well I did get the correct fitting yesterday, but TPIS billed me $49 US on the credit card for shipping! WTF!!! The invoice has $0 for the fitting as "warranty replacement" , but $49 for shipping & handling. Why can't they just do what they say??? I called them again today and left a message on their voicemail :mad
Report them to your credit card company, this is why I'm skeptical when companies save my credit card number in their database.

I've looked into TPiS stuff with interest for several occasions, but after this, and all these people saying that their stuff is off like cams and heads, this is no good, yes they might have good looking long tubes, but so does LPE, EM, Hookers, and so on.
Defenatly bad reputation for TPiS, sorry but form me only if I cant get form any where else and then I'll be carful.

Later

Personally, I don't think they owe you squat. You bought 2 minirams from two different people, neither of which were TPIS. The guy you bought the 2nd miniram from didn't provide the fittings and you tried to get some free ones from TPIS. What am I missing here?

Can't you read? They sent me the wrong fitting ... then they sent the correct one to me and charge my credit card after they said they would cover the shipping :mad

How is this my fault??? ... and they won't return my calls either! Really professional!!!

Are you kidding?

You kissed them over pretty good by posting this poopie here, and now it looks like they are going to kiss you right back.

You have already done your damage to them, they dont have anything to loose now. It's pretty much over.

Personaly, I would gone back to where ever I got that accel part, swap it for the right one, and had the car running already.

Yea, no kidding. I've run into seriously about 20 more difficult problems in the last three weeks with my engine swap. I could have gone back to a half dozen folks who either sold me stuff or provided services and ate their butt out for not anticipating my every need.

The approach I take is to try to build a relationship. I've got a couple guys now who "take care of me" both financially and with special attention, because they know that in the past they've made a mistake or two, but I came back in a civil way and worked with them to resolve the situation.

I don't expect other people to be perfect because I sure as hell am not perfect.

Like I said in a previous post in this thread, The Holley Stealthram I bought new from Holley didn't come with the fittings. And, the instructions sucked and actually led me to believe that by buying some fittings their fuel lines would mate up to my factory fuel lines. Well, when we assembled the fuel rails it became obvious that I was going to need to make some custom fuel lines. Did I go off? Did I try to humiliate a bunch of people who were doing work for me or selling me parts? NO

In the long run, nobody will want to do business with a person who takes that approach. Think about it.

This is comical...move on? Heck...even those of you who are saying move on are prolonging this threads life simply by posting the words "move on"

This is funny.

BTW: Why would TPIS even have a record of any TPIS product bought from Summit or anywhere else? Just because they dont have record of it...they obviously built it...so it is from them!

I have always had great service and technical help from them. I bought a Random Tech cat in the Fall of 2000. I put 3,000 miles on it, then sold it to a guy last winter. He emailed me a couple weeks ago and said the cat is coming apart inside. I contacted TPiS and they said send it in and we will send you a new one. That's after almost 3 years! I will not hesitate to buy anything from them.

Simple fact here is they make Millions of dollars that is chup change for them and if they would of mailed it in the first place there would not be this posting...TPIS thinks they know it all about TPI/LT-1/ LS-1...they drive me nuts they tried to down talk me to a smaller cam and everytime i call them they are rude like there stuff dont stink!

I feel bad for you man i would call them back and tell them straight up you want your money back on the whole unit and send that Mini RAM back and tell them where to ram it! See if that gets there attention! :reddevil

What does TPIS think they are bill gates or something?

Uhhhh.... ... How does one send something BACK, that he has no reciept for, and can't prove he GOT it from them originally? And, what makes you think TPIS should refund $$ after 3 years?? Does Bill Gates? If so, I have an old copy of Windows 3.1 I might try to send back.

HHA HHAA HHAAA Thats my point...Bill Gates is super greedy...But you know i have called places like Jegs and Summit for parts i never used and they refunded my money! No i dont know if they have a system that tracks all there customer or not but you would Think TPIS would have something like that and if i spend 1200$ they better know who the F i am! not like i **** that or something! Like i said Jegs Summit, even little shops around here you go back they work with you and i know them **** over at TPIS are just down to rape everyone they talk to unless you have big money to spend! Thats my .02 cents :cuss
