Does anyone have a ForceII Cat-back System (#17153) on there car? I am thinking of getting one but I am not sure if it is worth it. Did it improve performance at all? Also if there is any other systems for a similiar price?
I was thinking about it too, ive got an american thunder system on my trans am, the only difference being is that the force two is a 3 chamber and you hear it at idle only under hard acceleration. Flowmaster advertises 15hp increase over stock.
I just finished putting that system on and like it quite a bit. I already had a set of flows on the rear but I re-did the entire system using Hooker long tubes with their Y pipe a random cat and the flowmaster cat back.
The flowmaster rear Y pipe is nicely made and the stainless tip mufflers add a nice custom touch over the painted ones I had. The sound with the complete system seems to be a little quieter at cruise, but step on it and you really hear a great system come to life. For the money, I don't think you can beat this system.
I send my entire exhaust out to HPC to get coated and can't believe how good everything came out.
I just put the LT1 force 2 system on a 90 L98. The sound is quiet and low at idle, gets louder with a raspy tone accelerating, at cruise at 70 in 6th gear it is quieter than stock, there is no resonance and the road noise is louder than exhaust. I especially like the low moan when I gas it at low RPM.
Can't really say how much performance improved as I replaced the injectors and removed the cats ruined by bad injectors. But it sure runs and sound better than before.
I was considering the Corsa but could not afford it, but I am happy. some complain about the muffler tips they do not line up perfectly with the bumper but I can live with it. For the money I think it is the best buy I could find.
I just put the 3 chamber 50 series flowmasters on a couple weeks ago.
Car is a 88 with 383, long tube tpis headers, 3in Y pipe to magna flow cat,
another 3in Y with pipes to each mufler. It has the flowmaster sound with out being to loud, No drone, nice sound at idile, and cruse, I am happy with the sound, much better than stock, without being too loud.
I was able to get the tips lined up stright.
