C5 wheels on a C4?

C5 wheels on a C4?
I'm sure its be explained a million times but I'm haveing trouble finding info. I would like to put C5 wagon wheels on my 85. This will let me run C5 brakes and I can get the rims for $250 shipped. Do I need spacers? Is the offset the same for the 17*8.5 as the 18*9.5? I would like to run the 18's all around. Any advice would be a big help.

Ray, in order to run them on the '85, you'll need spacers. I *believe*, but won't swear to the thought that you can use any of the spacers intended to allow late C4 wheels to be mounted onto the '85, which I believe are 18mm thick (or about 0.708").

I happen to have 18" C5 wagon wheels on my '84. You'll need spacers all the way around. I used 7/8" spacers in the front and you can use these as well for the rear, but I used 1.25" spacers so that the tires would be closer to the rear wheel well lip.
