Cross your fingers....
I am about to walk out the door and thought I would drop you all a line. You know how excited I get on race days
I don't expect to break any records however today, all those hopes were shattered when the new skinnies Weld Wheels that I ordered from Summit came in and they sent me wheels with Ford bolt pattern :mad And then all they would do is take 10% off my next order, I told them there won't be a next order. Jegs is my new dealer for my addiction now. :jester
I get to try out my new car trailer too that i picked up this week also. lots and lots of fun.
I could not use the wheels that I normally do, because Dad is using them on the Chevelle, and acually he was letting me use them all along. I am going to be thoughly pissed if I crank off a 11.0x.
Anyways, good luck to all the other racing today.

If this is true.. and he doesnt want to really order from them again.. I will gladly accept the 10% off :D
Oh BTW..... I want some results
Nope no problems with either car :) Kinda a hecktic and tiring day though. Left at ~6am got back at 9:30 pm so I was beat and did not feel like typing, sorry.
Here is the scoop. Got two time trial: Car was not hooking for anything, but think I figured out where my tire pressure needs to be for a good hook. At 13psi I was only getting 1.56-.57 60' and going through at ~11.3-.4s. This is with my stock wheels on the front and the weather was terrible. 85*+ and 85%+ humidity. I was not disappointed in the times considering everyone was complaning about theirs and saying they were way off. My best there at that track YTD is 11.18@122MPH.
Also their MPH at the end were all hosed up. All my slips were off and other people's too by about 5-6MPH. 1/8 miles were on @ 95-96MPH.
When I found the right pressure. 13.5 in both tires my hooking became much better 1.52s. On the first round of elims I won by redlight on the other guy. The next run I ran a mustang. I hooked again super good and cut a good light I caught him about 2/3 of the way to 1320 and hammered the brakes hard, only went through the traps at 100MPH and hit a 11.42 on a 11.37 dial  had I stayed with it through the entire run it might have been close a ten. I ran again with similiar time of 11.3x. Then I raced a late model camero and he treed me. .507 to my .537 he dialed a 10.49 to my 11.37. He caught me right at the end to take the win. So I went 4 rounds which was fun. and got a few extra runs even though some ended on the brakes.
But the car is running stonger than heck. I should also mention that this was all the tune from before by dyno. I am learning some things with these ECMs that scared me enough to not want to play around with the FP when your in a static state with the injectors like I am. I antisipate on the weather being decent here and getting some tuning done this weekend. I also found out on Friday what was making that Romulator flake out, so that can be used to make tuning much easier.
Dad's chevelle, after Corky, Dad and I chagned the rear gears from 3.90s to 3.55s is still running 11.4s. I suspect his MPH are much higher now, as they were nearly the same as mine. But his 60' times suck. It pulls the front off teh ground, and only turns 1.62-.64 times  That thing should be pulling 1.4s no problems. I am going to have to watch the vids to see how much spinning he is getting. Also I think he is running out of fuel at the end of the track. We have a electric pump we are going to try to install this week, and I think he should gain some with that.
But all in all the day was fun, family was all there, and my little boy got his first taste of the track. He LOVED it  Anytime anyone would come over to my car to look at it, he would have to say in his 2yrs old slurred words: "Mi Dadda Corbet faaaaaaaast" So it turned out to be a great fathers day and all the cars came back in one piece.
I remember the one Baro reading was 29.92 I think with the temps at 85* and 85% humidity.
I again was running 43 psi same as I was before the dyno run. I did not want to risk the car making a correction at WOT and leaning it out with shorter PWs. As I learn more about exactly how the ECM is interacting in there I can getter explain to you guys what is happening.
This really belongs in the other post, but it seems that there definately is a correction routine in the ECM and the reason Ralph you notice a difference after unplugging your battery.
I will keep you all posted as the informtion becomes more clear.
But Yes I think the car will hit a 10 at Etown. A guy that was running a dragster was talking to me after we left the track and went to get some gas at a station. He said that track is .2 tenth slower than Maple Grove and sometimes 3tenths off Etown on average!
I am pretty sure I will crank off a 10 at my Etown visit, but I don't want to be too overly confident. I am just going by last year running all year long at these tracks and them going there, I dropped .2 tenths.
I am going to head out the night before the 26th even I think to race it at night, so I can maybe catch some better air and also be able to run without my exhaust, so I know that will slow me down a bit on Saturdays event.
Considering that temp and humidity, sounds like you were running great !!... 95-96 mph in the 1/8th indicates low 120's mph typically. btw, are you locking up the converter in 3rd ? Were these runs with open headers or did you run thorugh the exhaust ?
Great Report !!
cheers,
Beach Bum
So these results are based on the same FP and apparently fairly consistent with your other runs (adjusted for weather). I was hoping you were going to test the increased FP theory. Assuming you can work out the fuel, you should be able to get into the tens in really good air. But remember, good air wont help much if you're already starving for fuel.
I assume you are still running open headers?
