Has anyone removed the entire piece form the exhaust manifold? Instead of using a 1/2" pipe cap, remove that whole piece and fill the small individual holes in the manifold with screws or something? If so, what did you use and did they seal okay?

Re: Another air pump replacement question. (Larry Mackey)
If youre talking about the 1/2 " air tube that runs front to back what I did was just put a plug over it. I later installed a set of LT1 shorty headers I got from none other than J. Mackey here on the forum. You know him dont you ;)
The LT1 headers dont have all that stuff, just one bung for thier emmisions that I screwed a plug into. Nice and clean looking. FWIW, the LT series headers bolt right up to the L98 but there are not provisions for the egr. I suppose you could fab up a line from theaforementioned bung on the LT1 headers to the egr but I blocked off my egr and lived with a constant code 32.

What I am asking about is cutting off all of the small tubes running from the 1/2 piece of pipe into the header. Then plugging each of the small holes. It would make a lot neater application. Has anyone tried it? If yes, then how did they plug all of those small holes? Maybe real short self tapping screws????
