Default ignition system question

ok guy help me out here. just want some honest opinions. i know that i cant launch very well but i was just a little bit dissappointed at my best of 13.5 in my LT4 coupe. my mods are muffler elims and a cut lid and thats it. but i have 130k on the car. it is in good running condition but it still has the origanal optispark as well as origanal plugs and wires. i am wondering that if with that many miles on my optiaprk if i am losing quite a bit of power because of it. do you guys think i could cut any time off of my ET by upgrading to a new optispark, msd wires and NGK plugs? i know they dont add to much horsepower but i wonder if they would restore quite a bit of LOST horsepower? let me know what you guys think

As long as the Optispark is functioning properly, it should be fine. I'll let the LT folks comment on the expected lifespan of the optispark when it stays dry. On the plugs and wires, you're definitely losing something with plugs and wires with that many miles on them. Putting stock sparkplugs back in is fine, and low resistance wires are your best choice. Don't bother spending money on high dollar gimick stuff.
