Default I also have an AC question

My AC won't come throught the vents, it comes through were the defrost would come through. I here the fan running and it eventully cools the car but it takes longer. What could be the problem. No matter what botton I push it won't change where the air is coming from. Same with the heat too, but I don't care as much about that.

Electronic or manual AC?
Electronic,... you will prolly wind up buying a new "programmer" module. Seals in the solenoids dry up.

could be a vacuume leak. check under the hood for any cracked or other suspect lines. there are 2 parts to the AC, a dash mounted unit called C68 (electronic) and an under dash mounted unit called the programmer (vacuume operated). the programmer operates the vents.

dont forget about the vacuum T under the passenger side fuel injection cover on the engine..its just a $3 part and solves that vent problem most of the time

:iagree:

I've heard this solves the problem most of the time. This also would affect your cruise control, so if it doesn't work properly as well, I'd check here first.
