My 93 is Really low. Just remember that with a soft ride or stock springs (non z07/z51) theres almost no stopping the rubbing or bottoming out. They were designed with a lot of travel. I used z07 springs and although all my tires have maybe a 2mm gap between the fender they never rub because they are stiff. I also used z51 shocks from the 96 year because they are stiffer.

When i had the stock springs, the car did rub quite often and hit the rear bump stops over big bumps.
I guess just check up on the spring rates for the coils on your coil overs. A stiff ride may not be what you want but if you want it slammed and not rub theres no choice.

What I was asking was if you ever called Exotic Muscle to see if they had an idea to increase suspension travel so you didn't have to raise it back up to 27". Part of my plan was to go with really stiff springs. I like the race car feel. On the C5 I had 500lb front and 600lb rear. It sounds to me like this and shaving the bump stops down are my only options. If anyone has another idea please chime in because I'm about to order these things. Thanks t all that have responded. :D :flag

No, I never called, because on my Vert, it's not the lack of travel that's the problem - it's the X-brace hanging too low. I'm sure that if you want to call Merle @ EM, he will have some ideas for your coupe. I think they have both a street version and a race version.

I talked to Merle today at EM. They are looking into getting a shorter shock body for race applications. He said he has had several racers come to him looking to get their cars very low. He said he should have a better idea in 30 days what price point and what manufacturer. Anybody else who knows more about these applications can chime in. Whoever would be interested in these coilovers for slammed applicatons please call Merl at Exotic Muscle and let him know of your interest.
All of us lowering freaks please say a little prayer! :D  :yesnod: :blueangel: :chevy ;) :flag
