I'm asking because the dyno shop will charge $90 for 2 pulls. If I send Ed my chip and go to the dyno, and it's not right, I don't want to have to keep sending him the chip and going back to the dyno over and over and over.
Anybody have experience with S/C's and his chip? My setup is pretty stock, except I have 30lb injectors and I'm upgrading the fuel pump to ditch the FMU.
Re: Any Supercharged guys get Ed Wright chips??? (vvv90)
I went to a shop in Birmingham that had a nice huge oil stain from when one of his chip blew up a s/c'd vette. lottoadvance+lottoboost+lottlemotor= KABOOM

Actually, I believe you can get rid of the FMU if your fuel system can handle it. No need to go to a 2 bar sensor. You do need to program the WOT MAPs to reflect the added need for fuel.
I've done this and have been told by the dyno (wO2 meter) that my fuel ratio is correct across the board. To grasp the concept, just remember that the Supercharger builds boost linearly with the speed of the motor (RPM). As long as your in WOT you can modify the fuel maps to reflect the linear change in fuel requirements.
Re: Any Supercharged guys get Ed Wright chips??? (XTwinTurbo)
Well, if you can keep the f/a ratio where you need it....but I found that it was near impossible to do that without an fmu.
Yes, wideband is a must! Also-remember that wideband results from a dyno to real world (f/a at shift points etc.) will be different....
On using pe % change f/a vs rpm-if you always hold it to the floor you can get consistant results-however in the conditions where you let off a bit-still in boost, but less for the same rpm-it's then off.
I'd just hate to see anyone ruin their engine!

Not sure about ed wrights chips for S/C but I was not impressed with his chip for my 383 after a good number of trys the chip still was not even close to right. Of course keep in mind that I do not live near him. So it was all based off what I told him. He was a nice guy and great customer severice, and I"m sure if I had taken the time to give him some data he would have durnt me something nice.
