Help! Problems with new wiper arms...
Guys,
I just installed new wiper arms along with new wipers. After I've put them in and tested them, when the switch is off: 1) the driver side arm digs in TOWARDS the engine area really tight. 2) the passenger side wiper arm stays above and AWAY from the hood and does not seat underneath the hood.
Picture them like this:
<front>
Left _____/ (engine area)
----------------------------------------- <-hood line
_______right
/
Is there a simple way to adjust or am I out of luck, i.e. time to let the pros fix it? Thanks in advance.

Remove the left wiper arm. Now remove the black plastic cowl cover with screen under it. Put the left arm back on. You can now loosen the 10mm nuts in the cowl behind the wiper motor and adjust the arms. There is a small access panel, but it is easier to remove the whole cover.

Any chance you have the driver and passenger arms backwards ? On my car the blade assembly pivots on a pin on the wiper arm.... that pin points up the windshield on both arms. Also the left is always just barely exposed above the hood. If arms are OK, then adjustment is as mentioned on other posting..

Shouldn't the right one be on top of the left one when in the down position? That would make the right one barely exposed above the hood.
