Help! I refuse to have my digital dash in my 84, repaired again. I'd liketo know if anyone out there has replaced with Analog, and if so, how much trouble. Any help will be greatly appreciated . Thanks, George.
The prob is not the gauges but the person who is repairing it for you. You can get rebuilt ones in exchange for yours that you're having trouble with from any of the Corvette people like Mid-America or Eckler's.
Personally, if I had a C5 I'd want to change it to digital. They are dead accurate and precise, very visible and is a whole lot better than an ambiguous needle between two, far-spaced increments on a dial, IMO.
Besides, you will be messing up the interior if you tried to do a change.
