"drove around for a week with the Nylon plugs and didn't have any signs of melting. Many caliper designs don't have holes in them. Most brake pads hang down in the caliper by means of a pin inserted across the top of the caliper. As an example look at the Brembo caliper at the bottom of this page the Elevens posted."
ok,not pickin ya apart here.in my mind the average persons gonna have absolutely no problems with using these.
they look nice and your certainly not asking to much money or anything.
its just i'm always concerned about using aftermarket anything enhancements and research thoroughly to ensure no negative effects can present themselves.
especially brakes.
first off,not "most" brake pads hang on pins.in fact only racing type "fixed" caliper designs do this.
floating pads are captured.
i will surmise "most" calipers have cut out areas in the design allowing heat to disipate to air to assist in cooling the pad not so you can see the back of the brake pad.(think about it,we've always been able to see 30% of the back of brake pads ever since they came out in...hmm wa 1965 or so?)
brake rotor temps see 1200 to 1300 deg in temp.
brake fluid boils at 550 deg.
i'll be leaving mine open.
I'll be honest, I haven't even heard of PayPal. I did a search for it on line and read a few things about it and it sounds cool. Looks like a good deal if a person does alot of transactions on line. I don't have a business or anything and I never offered to sell anything to anybody before. I figure a handful of folks would like these caliper plugs and that would be it. I didn't want to get too deep into it at this point.
Thanks for the interest.

I was researching the PayPal service and this link popped up claiming that paypal was being investigated in 3 states for problems. Looks like users had trouble with it. http://www.paypalwarning.com/ :bs
