Default estimate on horsepower?

I know I've asked this before, but now I have made all of the decisions needed and I know everything I'm installing. I'm changing my cross fire to carb. so I'll begin with a Holley 600cfm carburetor, an Edelbrock performer intake, a set of 2.02int,1.60exh. heads, a 268H comp cam 268 adv duration 218int 218exh duration and 454int 454exh lift,a pair of Hedman Hedders, a pair of 40 series delta flow flowmaster mufllers, and a Pete Jackson Gear Drive just for fun. So how many horses do you think I'll have, just let me know when you find the time.

250, thats a very mild set up. what heads? if you use vortec heads and an edelbrock rpm vortec intake you'll have around 330 hp. a little more cam and you'll be around 350...

The heads are Factory 041 Chevrolet heads, supposedly the best heads you could buy about ten years ago, they've been ported and polished and are complete with new valves as well. Well I don't know about 250 man, I'm thinking at least 310, that cam is the wildest hydraulic cam you can buy and still keep the a/c going. Its alot bigger than the stock cam I've got in it right now.

My guess: 290-310. It is a mild setup - I have more cam in a ford 302 boat motor.... but the torque will be great. Nice street motor. I'd toss the gear drive though. That whine is enough to drive you crazy! If you haven't already bought the stuff - I'd go for the RPM manifold, Vortec heads and long tubes. That would put you in the middle to top of the 300s.

I'd say about 300 crank hp. That cam is close to a factory replacement 300 hp cam. The other stuff you suggest will flow with that cam to 300.

Forgot to mention, I'm also deleting most of the emissons crap, egr, air pump etc. I've heard that just by removing the air pump you can free up 20 horsepower, is that true. Thanks.

P.S. The whine is the only reason I'm getting the gear drive, I like it. I'm getting the carb, heads and intake for free from my grandad the only stuff I've ordered is the cam, mufflers, headers, gear drive, and a Brasswork water pump guaranteed to make your car run 15-30 degrees cooler, and cooler engines go faster. But in a year or so when I get somemore money I'll probably change the heads, carb, and intake to something better. But thanks for your suggestions.
