The headlights on the car seem to be having a hard time raising up. You can help them a long by lifting them up and they will work, but sometimes will fall back down. I heard that there are some bushings that can be replaced to fix the problem. Is this correct? Has anyone attempted this fix? Any tips?

It sounds like the three Durelin bushings in the motor case are powder.
You can order them from MAD for a few $$.
Remove the motor & headlight assembly from the car and take the motor & gear case off the headlight frame. I needed a ball driver to remove several Torx bolts.
You may need to work a little to get the main gear off the worm gear as there is a ridge on the main gear but it will come.
mine did exactly the same as yours when i bought it ..... i bought mine through ecklers they are three little nylon bushings that replace the jelly that is in there... i follwed the instructions and i think it took about an hour a piece to do the mod... :D big big difference and still working great after 3 years
