 Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel??? Glad to see you will be driving it again soon, and btw the new rims/tires are bad azz... I'm jealous
I didnt realize you were pushing 400 horses un-tuned?
Yep, well she was at least. Should be the same this time around too. We'll see I guess. :) Oh yeah there's also a 50-150hp adjustable nitrous kit in the car for a little added punch when needed. I haven't even gotten to play with that yet.
I wish. It did 322/369 at the wheels. I'm hoping with a tune I can get it around 335-345 natural and then about 420-430 on the bottle. The torque should be insanely high.
Did you read that post on the Lt1/SR comparo? That was interesting... I think I may have to buy one of those intakes off that guy at lt1intake.com For around $550 that isnt a bad way to get into the 12's. Hell that car was a camaro, too. I keep forgetting that.
Yes, but I wasn't severely impressed. The SR owned at lower RPM and then the LT1 took over up top. That was with only an intake swap too correct? If they had matched the cams to the intakes it might of been a more fruitful test.
Used superrams can be had for $600-800, so the price difference is marginal I would say. Also with an LT1 intake you would probably want to upgrade the L98 bottom end to handle the more frequent trips over 6000 where the power is made. So... how much $ is saved after that?
Very True. But where in hell can I find a SR for that price? Next time you see one Scorp for that price, will you send an email my way? I'd definately go with that, but I've never seen that kinda price on one before...
With the stock cast pistons I don't want to venture over 100. Actually since it is a truck shortblock in the car now the pistons have a thicker top on them than the Corvette ones did, but I'll still play it safe. I'll probably keep it in the 75-100 area. It should net I hope around 90hp at the wheels and who knows on the torque, its always more than the HP.

Just keep your eye on C4 parts here, http://www.thirdgen.org, or ebay. I got mine (all 3 pieces) for $600.
It has been a long time coming. I know what you mean about working in this heat. Remember the crazy LPE IROC my friend has? I detailed that for him today and thought I was going to pass out! Luckily it didn't need more than a buff and zaino.
 to your car running LONG and STRONG. :auto:
You're killing me Scorp......keep going want to hear about when you finally fire that sucker up....
