Weird clunkin/clickin sound
clickin sound when turnin and sometimes startin strait from right rear wheel, took wheel off and didnt see anything to unusual except rub marks.... Almost seemed like lugs were loose but they werent. Put wheel back on, and theres the slightest play, like the lugs arent completely super tight. I know not a good description, hard to explain... Ideas please :)

Bad wheel bearing
the right rear is the first to go
Might as well replace the U-joints on that side as well. Use Spicer Cold-Forged joints, only ones that can handle the torque.

One of three things is causing the same sound in mine.
My lower control arm bushings are shot.
There is a little bit of play in my bearings.
There is some slop in the U-joints on my half shafts.
Solution? $539 in parts and a few hours labor.
I'll let you know tomorrow night if it works. :thumbs:

Mine did exactly that, bad half shaft bearing!
When I would pull away it would "tick" or tick loudly but only on the passenger side. It was really noticeable when driving next to a curb cause the ticking sound would echo or bounce off the curb or when turning.
Gonna do my driver side this weekend.

The rear end is done!!
I still am not 100% sure what the origin of the clicking sound was but I am 100% sure it was one of the things I repaired/replaced today.
The U-Joints were definitely toast, 3 of the 4 had rub spots from flat needle bearings and the slop is now gone from the half shafts.
Only the lower bushings really needed replacing, but they were all replaced to save me from having to do it again in a few months.
Only the passenger side rear bearing was bad but again, I replaced both.
It is as tight as a virgins **** and no more squeakws, clicks, clanks or groans! :party:
