Intermittent Code 34
Every now and then when I start my car in the morning, I'll get a code 34. I have a low/rough idle when cold I'm trying to nail down, and before if I would let it idle too low without feathering the gas it would throw the code 34. Now it seems to throw the code once a month or so even if it doesn't idle too low.
The first thing I did was clear my throttle body and butterflies. I replaced the MAF and the relays and cleaned the connectors at the MAF. I've also changed my IAC and TPS, and checked for vacuum leaks all the way from the air filter housing to the intake.
The only thing I've done to make it not stock is remove the cats, add a PowerEffects catback system, and add a K&N air filter.
I'm buying some Ford SVO 24 pound injectors next week. The trusty fuel pressure gauge shows me as leaking down all my fuel pressure after about 10 minutes, so I was hoping that the new injectors would help my low/rough idle when cold issue, but I'm reluctant to believe that it'll fix a code 34 when everything else seems fine.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause my intermittent code 34? I'm beginning to think that it's the ECM itself, but throwing part after part at the car with little to no change is getting tedious.
Again, while warm I don't have to worry about any of this. No rough idle, never a code 34, etc.
