I just installed hooker super Comp Headers on my 91 L98 and it looks like two plugs are going to be very close. Can someone please give me a brand and part number for the shorter head plugs for use with headers? I usually use rapid fire 5's.
Thanks for the info
There are no "short" plugs for this application. Accell has a part number, but it is a shorter reach inside the head, and regular length outside the head.
Which will not make a difference.
You will have to dent the headers to clear the plugs.
I thought Accel's Header Sparkplugs' are made standard length inside and shorter on the outside..I compared them in the store a few weeks ago befor eI was putting my LPE longtubes on the car as I was told I might need them, and they were defenately shorter on the outside..
Godo thing is I didn't need them. Still using normal plugs.
Driver side is OK, Just looked like some on the passenger side were way to close, they might go in but the wires will surely melt. Again, any part #'s, brands?
Right now I still have the AFR staight plugs and Hooker super comps and my cylinders 2 and 5 are so close that I have to chaange the boot every few days. Thats after denting the tubes.
