After I cleaned my TB, I noticed my idle would almost always hang at around 900rpm, rarely dropping to 750. For the past few days I've been systematically working my way through the usual suspects; vacuum leaks, PCV, IAC, TPS, etc, and was on my way to buy a new EGR when I actually saw the idle suddenly drop from 900 to 750.
At the next light, I pulled out the old pilot's trick for verifying gauges; I tapped on the glass. Plop - 750. Next light; tap, tap, tap, plop - 750.
