Here is a good luck story...
Go to start it after the 2 day sit and yuk it's idling like crap and sputtering a bit on the low speeds...especitaly in overdrive at like 60km/hr...so I'm thinking damn it's bad gas...I only put in 20 bucks so it's a bit over half full tank...
Anyways deep down I'm thinking that it's probably something else like a sensor or vaccum leak or EGR stuck or something...Maybe a bad plug or wires or distributor? It has been raining here for 3 days...So I'm worried to start tearing things apart.... :(
This morning I go out into the sunny day and pop the hood and start looking around...everything looks normal on the drivers side and I'm thinking hmmmm how hard would it be to change the plugs here in the parking lot with the few tools I have with me...(My shop is 2 hours away at my house)...the 4 driverside plugs look pretty easy to get at...so I go over to the passenger side and start looking through all the mess over there to see the plugs...and what do I see...a spark plug with NO WIRE!!! It must have wiggled off and is just hanging down :hurray: I clip it on and drove around town for an hour with the top down just so happy it was an easy fix
Now after a few days of 7 cylinder running man does all 8 feel good...
Guess the old saying came true for me today: Check the simple stuff first!!!
Cheers, Dave :D
Funny how the mind starts expecting the worse...
At least you can finish the weekend in style!
