I believe Freeze 12 is a "blend."
If it is a blend, I don't recomnend it. When the AC compressor is not running, the blends have a tendency to separate. When separated, some of the components in the blend can be flammable. In addition, since the molecules of the components are a different size, some of the components will leak at a different rate than others. This causes the blend to change over time. And, simply adding more of the blend doesn't solve the problem, because the blend is not the same anymore.
I have FreeZone in Acura Legend and just had it installed in the Corvette this spring. It is compatable with R12, works with the R12 lubricant and didn't have to change anything over. Cost is alot less for the product. I have had no problems and honestly, it feels just as cold as R12 if not colder. This link might help. Not sure about the issue of blends down the road. http://www.lenzdist.com/Prods.html
