I finally got a round to installing the new rate VBP Extreme springs this weekend. I dropped front and rear springs, got the new ones on, adjusted the ride heights on all wheels, and took it for a ride. WOW, what a difference! My old springs where Z07 and pretty old, not to mention I lowered it with the longer screws, and by removing some of the rubber mount on front. The harshness is all but gone. THe car is firmer, but smoother. The old setup had a lot of tension with those curved springs. The VBP springs are FLAT! THe front setup is especially trick. Everything fits in perfectly, the design is sound and works. Its great to be able to adjust the ride height on all four corners, and also do corner weighting. The springs weigh about half as much as the stock ones. THe car does not dive at all under braking anymore, even with the C5 brakes! (which I still have pics of the adapters I made if anyone wants to host). I recommend them to anyone that wants the max performance without coilovers. The car is ON RAILS - Z51 guys...BRING IT ON!!!!
I may do a G-Tech run to find the lateral cornering g-forces if I can find a makeshift skidpad.
Gus, I'm real interested in what you're doing. I'm prone to document this stuff. You mentioned you'd like somebody to host - send me the pic's and I'll host them. Maybe you could also type a little Word document as a starting point for the page and I'll post that on a web page with the pictures. Then you can tell me what to change.
