Long tubes or cat - back which one????
want to spend some dollars on exhaust or headers don't see the point on both for my stock motor.....$1000 + for a cat-back for only 12 hp
or $900 for headers and install for 15+ hp with stock exhaust....and less noise leaning toward headers what do you think??? :banghead:

what year is the car? And where are you getting 900 dollar headers from? I spent 750 on mine and absolutely have no complaints!

I'd start with the cat-back system.

94 lt1 A4 is my car ......I figure 6 to 7 hundred on the headers and 3 hundred to get them to fit by a local shop

Go with the hard part first. Long headers, then go for the cat back. Cat back is MUCH easier.
Good luck.

Do you have emissions testing in Georgia. If so, it is next to impossible to run long tubes and cats with an A4.

Don't know about the LT1 but longtubes really help the L98. Be sure and find out about emissions testing before you install buy em.
